• MTS MTag 351 – This phone is having  the price tag of Rs. 7,499 and it features 3.5 inch of touchscreen. It is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread version. There is Qualcomm snapdragon S1 processor in this device from MTS. There is a 3 MP camera in the back with flash and front VGA camera in MTS MTag 351. It comes with 2 GB memory card and you can increase it to 32GB.

• MTS MTag 352 – The second new Android CDMA phone from MTS is called MTS MTag 352 and its price is Rs. 6,599. Other features of MTS MTag 352 are similar to 351 except the LED flash in the back of device with the front VGA camera, which is only available in MTS MTag 351.
• MTS MTag 281 – This is the cheapest phone from MTS in the new series. It is offered with a 2.8 inch touch screen with the price of Rs. 5,499. It is also powered with Snapdragon S1 processor. There is a 3MP camera in the back.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a quad core 1.4 Ghz processor with the latest Android IceCreamSandwich operating system. Marketed as a tablet to give Ipad a run for money, the Note 10.1 comes with 2 GB RAM.

It has two cameras – a 5 megapixel unit in the rear while a 1.3 megapixel unit is in the front. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p full HD videos. Despite being a tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a SIM slot which you can use to call as well as for 3G connectivity.

For connectivity, there is WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, A-GPS etc. It has 16 GB of internal storage space but users can increase the space by upto 32 GB.

Its 10.1 inch display, which is also its highlight feature, comes with the all new PLS (Plane to Line Switching) technology. This technology allows the display to show better colours, contrast and even wider screen viewing angles than the existing IPS technology based screens. The resolution of the display has been kept quite similar to that of other 10 inch variants at 1280 x 800 pixels.

Nokia Lumia 610 would be the entry level Windows Phone handset from the Finnish handset maker. The device would feature a 3.2″ screen, 3MP camera, and Windows Phone Tango.  Considering it will run Windows Phone Tango edition, we would expect it to feature a 256MB RAM. The Lumia 610 will be priced around Rs 11,000 (Euro 175 approximately) when it is launched in India very soon.

We would also see the global version of Nokia Lumia 900.

Netflix App is available on Apple’s iPhone and iPad from quite a long time. They also have an Android based app.

RIM has been seriously lacking on the apps front, which can easily influence the smartphone buying decision of consumers to Apple and other Brands based on Android OS. RIM upgraded the software of its poor-selling PlayBook on Tuesday, making it possible for app makers to easily move their existing Android apps across to the PlayBook.

From the tweet it doesn’t look that Netflix is planning to port its Android App to RIM platform anytime soon.

Netflix has more than 24 million U.S. subscribers, where it offers both a mail-in service and streaming movies and TV shows.

CEO Drew Houston wants developers to step in and create an “ecosystem” around photos. Earlier this month we saw Google announced Drive, a cloud storage service that was seen as a direct competition to Dropbox’s  recent growth.

In June, Apple announced iCloud, a consumer-oriented service for Apple users that also syncs email and calendars.

Dropbox was founded by Houston and a classmate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007, Dropbox has raised $250 million at a reported $4 billion valuation. With 100 employees in San Francisco and 50 million users, Dropbox is one of the most closely-watched startups by Silicon Valley investors – and its much larger competitors.

HTC One S is being positioned as a mid-range phone. HTC One S is slimmer than HTC Sensation.

It has been reported the One S will feature a dual core1.5GHz chipset, with Dr Dre Beats Audio technology on-board and HTC Sense 4.0 UI, on top of the Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ OS. It will also feature an 8 megapixel camera and a 4.3″ Amoled screen.

• 3.7″ display
• 5MP camera with LED flash
• Android 4.0 ICS
• NFC connectivity.

Nokia adopted Microsoft’s Windows Platform and dumped its on 10 year running Symbian OS. Lumia Series launched by Nokia has got a mixed response and has failed to fancy the crowd due to high entry prices for the phones.

The new strategy might work in Nokia’s favour as people would be able to use the Windows Phones at a lower price.

Mozilla-LG Mobile Device is supposed to be powered by Mozilla’s brand new Boot to Gecko (B2G) operating system. This would help Mozilla to gain traction in the browser wars. Google Chrome has been steadily increasing its market share and this move clearly is to gain back the lost crowd.  However, none of the companies have shared any price information or specs of this new device.

Mozilla is believed to unveil the Mozilla MarketPlace and allow developers to submit applications written with open web standards like HTML5, JavaScript and CSS5.

What is Boot to Gecko?

Boot to Gecko is more than just a common operating system. It’s an innovative idea to turn every browser into a standalone platform. B2G is basically a stripped-down Linux loading Firefox’s rendering engine, Gecko. What makes it different are the web APIs it uses – they allow HTML5 and JavaScript to address your computer’s hardware directly. The same interfaces will exist on the mobile platform and desktop.
